Have you ever felt different and isolated? Want to make an impact in the world but you don’t know how or where to start?

Eiji Morishita is a community builder and movement maker. In our interview with Eiji, he shares how his passion for building communities actually began with feeling like an outcast at school – a first generation Japanese-American eating lunch from a bento box while his classmates ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Later, when his family was instrumental in the Sushi Movement in North America, he discovered the value of his uniqueness, the power of innovation, and the brain trust available through collaboration. He has since gone on to be part of several dynamic movements and now supports leaders around the world in launching movements that impact millions of people.

Grab your notepad and listen in as Eiji shares powerful insights into how and why movements take off, the technology adoption curve, how to leverage each other’s unique strengths, tap into your own creative genius, and the phases you’ll experience as you break the norm of the status quo and launch your own movement.

Key Takeaways

1) Being different implies separation. You’re not different, you’re unique.

2) Being a struggling, isolated entrepreneur and feeling depressed and suicidal was same feeling.

3) Transformation happens in groups, it rarely ever happens in isolation.

4) Genius = taking 2 seemingly unrelated things and putting them together.

5) When givers hang out with takers, they get drained. However, when givers hang out with other givers, amazing things happen.
